Business Management Consultant | Lindsey Wilson
Lindsey Wilson is a business management consultant who serves as the Vice President of Rural Support. She is also lead consultant to the Appalachia Funders Network. Lindsey brings more than 13 years of leadership across non-profit, consulting, political, and social justice work.
What drives Lindsey is finding and supporting unexpected talent, driving progress in left-behind places, and helping organizations thrive. That passion is born from the fact that she is an unexpected leader from an unexpected background. Lindsey is formerly homeless, didn’t have the opportunity to get a college degree, and grew up in a time when it was downright dangerous to be a queer kid in the South. Those experiences make her uncommonly good as a consultant, thought partner, and leader. Lindsey has a knack for connecting with staff, partners, and clients. She strives to bring out the best in every individual and team.
Prior to joining Rural Support Partners, Lindsey served as the Director of Engagement and Operations for the Campaign for Southern Equality. That LGBTQ non-profit was a leader in winning marriage equality in the South. Lindsey spearheaded organizing work for marriage equality, managed daily non-profit operations, and led donor engagement efforts.
Lindsey has served in volunteer leadership as Chair of Sustainability and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Asheville and as Chair of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee for the City of Asheville.
Lindsey is a one-of-a-kind a business management consultant who will put her skills to work to help you deepen your impact and broaden your scale. Contact Lindsey via email.
